Monkey grass...I honestly was trying to avoid this, but when my freshly tuned-up 1971 40 hp Evinrude fired off this afternoon for ONLY a split second then no spark I new I was going to have to pull the flywheel again. The obvious was staring at me when I got it off. The coil wire in the pics got wedged when i put on the flywheel previously.
I can think of 3 things to do keeping in mind this is a brand new coil: solder what is left with some more pieces of wire, that is basically re-strengthen the wire without cutting it, cutting it and try to splice with spade terminals, or lastly buy another coil.
Any suggestions?
