Danish Mercury 3.5 hp

I recently bought a mercury 3.5 hp for my boat.<br />serialnr. is 6471989 can anyone tell me how old it is ?<br />What kind of oil can i use for lubricating the gear?<br />And what is the mixture of petrol/oil? 1-100?<br />Best regards Kimze

Looks like you have a 1984 model, in that case the fuel mix would be 50:1.

welcome aboard <br />I reccomend Mercury Quicksilver for the lower unit.<br />it is a VERY good idea to invest a few Kroner in a<br />manual for the motor, there is a link at the bottom<br />of the page and I believe they can arrange shipment<br />to Denmark.<br />good luck!<br />M.Y.
