Hello Everyone, I have a question for you.

I have posted a couple of times in the boat rebuild location, but I think my question was missed so I thought I would post it here.

Currently my cousins and I are rebuilding the family boat and we want to update the switches and make everything neat, and basically because other than the tilt switch, we don't know what controls what because they aren't labeled. One of the switches on the dash is a toggle switch with a circle plastic cover and this controls the up and down of the tilt.

We would like to match the same style - although different color -as the other switches we will choose. I have been thinking of using the Blue Sea Systems rocker switches such as this one.

Is the current toggle switch a momentary on-off-on switch? Will the above work?

I have attached a picture of the dash as it is now.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Re: Dash Mounted Tilt Switch

Two way Tilt and trim switches are ALWAYS momentary. Once you release the switch it returns to the off position.

There are also push button rocker switches for tilt and trim that you can mount on the steering wheel.
