So I just got this little bass boat. The dash has an unused oil gauge, trim switch, kill switch, ignition, bilge, aerator, nav lights. Super basic which I'm a fan of. I'm going to pull the oil gauge it's useless the vro] pulled long ago. So the question is there anything else I really need? I considered a Speedometer but not a huge draw imo.

Thanks.

Ayuh,..... I do I/Os,.... I consider a speedo, 'n a trim gauge, the most useless,.....

For an outboard,.... I'd put in a water pressure gauge,.....

I'm an outboard guy and also consider a speedo and trim gauge useless and would also install a water pressure gauge and maybe a voltmeter.

Volt meter sounds like a great plan. Water pressure gauge works as well. I think this motor had something similar at one point. There are 2 exits for the water. One is a large black house coming from the top rear and wraps down the side and exits at the back the other is on the back but had a piece of small grey house that went into the bilge area.

Keep the NAV lights too - to make sure you meet Coast Guard regulations for operating at dusk/night.
