dc gen conversion... maybe?

I have a 60 Johnson 40 big twin model RDSL-22 w/o generator and I have seen the later models with dc gens and what I'm wondering is does this model have the mount setup for one? The differences I see in them are the lack of pull start option and the changing of the flywheel and addition of a belt.

Thoughts?

There was an accessory generator kit for your motor, which included everything you need. However, after 42 years you will probably have to piece it together. You need the generator, bracket, pulley, belt, special deep junction box cover, voltage regulator, regulator cable, fuses, and anythinig else I've missed.

You keep the recoil starter, no need to remove it. Your present flywheel will work too---if the belt pulley hasn't fallen off it, as many did.

EDIT: I knew I'd forget something. The flywheel guard. You might think you don't need it, but it ties the starter bracket and generator bracket together so they don't vibrate loose.

Im not seeing a flywheel pulley on my motor from the looks of the photos of themits a notched pulley. The only thing on top of my flywheel are the pawl grips for my pull starter I will add photos if I can figure out how to do so from my phone

Generator Pully is under the flywheel, I believe.

Generator pulley is on top of the flywheel, actually part of the flywheel. It is a cogged pulley to match the cogged belt. But the early ones fell off. So if it isn't there, that is where it went.
