I am wanting to know how to decarb cylinders, I have checked and it seems like everyone has their own way of doing it.

1. Take out spark plugs
2. Spray decarb into plug holes til it hits the cylinders
3. make sure battery switch is off, and rotate flywheel
4. let it sit over night
5. Start it up and smoke will come out meaning its cleaning.

Is that about right, or am I way off?

Re: De-Carbing Cylinders

Warm it up first
As for overnight not sure, I heard of sitting for a few hours not overnight ...
Yes it will smoke like hell ....until the stuff is burnt off

My question is why this aggressive decarb ? I will recommend running a portable tank with sea foam on the the hose at idle ...The above step is recommend if you are really carbon up or stuck rings low compression etc....
