Based on some of the posts from back east and around the great lakes area it seems its been a weird year for weather for everyone. Normally up here in the PNW (Pacific Northwest) were not known to be a hot spot. This year tho'....whew, I can't remember the last time it rained and we are just cooling down from a bunch of very hot days around here. Its been nothing but sun it seems since early-mid june.
We hit over 30?C+ (90?F) for several days which is hot around here. Normally we are in the mid 20's which is a nice 75?F.
Regardless, the local lakes are just frikkin' beautiful for swimming probably 75?-80?F.
At any rate this going to continue well into next week so it looks like its 'lake and boat' time!!!
On the downside the province (BC) has a very, very serious full forest fire warning. A lot of this province is burning up right now and we've had to 'import' firefighters from other parts of Canada and even Australia.
Any campfire in the province (and its a big province) is prohibited and carries a $350-$500 immediate fine. They said that there are now about 150-175 new fires that have started within the last few days..many from lightning strikes.
Hopefully...and its weird to say this...we are going to get a good 2-3 days of straight rain soon, particularly in the interior.
Anyways...here is quick pic of how we are dealing with it!!
Cheers!..and hopefully the weather will pick up for you guys who have been getting your share of rain, cool and cloud this season!
