The local dealer by my house had evinrude tuner spray. I used it as directed in my 86 15hp evinrude. There is still a lot of Carbon buildup inside the head. After I ran it. I took out the plugs and there is still a lot of buildup in there. Can I spray this tuner spray directly into the head? Will this get rid of the gunk? Or do I have to remove the head and scrape it out....Thanks Warren

Spray it right into the cylinders, it won't hurt a thing.

c/6
Hooty

One more? Do I have to run it under load after I let it soak in or can I just hook up the muffs and let it idle? The closest lake to my house is the Pacific Ocean and don't like to launch it when its loaded up....Warren

It's really best to run it under a load in open water. I have a problem running them in a tank after a de-carb. The particles of carbon can get sucked back up thru the motor. Sometimes the amount of carbon released can amaze you, but that's just me. I spray, soak overnight and then run it like I stole it.
