I have a 1971 55HP Chrysler. I tried to do a decarb as instructed in one of the Threads. I put 3/4gallon gas, 3 oz oil and 16 oz of seafoam. It said let run 15 minutes then off 15 min and repeat twice. After about 10 miinutes engine shut down. I tried to start over a couple of times and it would not start. Battery went dead. I am recharging battery now. I checked plugs before and after. Before plugs dry. Now plugs are slightly wet. I quess due to carb loosening on head. Plugs were black black before decarb now they are starting to get clean. After battery gets charged. Any suggestions on what to do to get it started again. Would like to finish decarb.

Re: decarb/engine stop running

Try new plugs when re starting. Go back to the old tank without the seafoam and let it run awhile with that gas. I have had trouble starting mine after doing the seafoam thing. Seafoam was actually invented as a fogging oil for two stroke motors. If it stays in there longer then you planned it should not hurt the motor.
