decarbon how to/smoker

i sprayed 1 can of engine tuner in my 78 85hp<br />evinrude and could not belive how much gook came out.i spayed some in the plug holes and gonna let sit over night and crank in the morning to clean the rest out. is 1 can usually enuff to clean the carbon from the engine? ive had it a year and it runs great but it smokes alot at idle and just above idle but the compression is good. is this normal? the carbs were rebuilt and it was tuned by local omc dealer. it probley has never been decarboned before though <br />thanx to everyone here i have learned alot and read every page on here lol

Go to www.boatsetup.com and hit Articles. There is a good explanation on how to decarbonize your engine. I will be doing the same this weekend. Bert
