Deck cover

I want to put a flush mount seat post plate on my front deck cover of my bass boat, but I need to stengthen it first. It is made of about 1/4 inch fiberglass. Any suggestions on how to reinforce it? (Would like to avoid fiberglassing)<br /> (Low budget)

my buddies boat has one of those pins for his seats. around that area was getting kinda flexable so we took starboard & screwed it in from underneath the raised deck, then cut a 6 to 8 in diameter pvc and positioned it under for added support. it works for him & hes 300lbs +<br /> its only a 14ft keywest, from what ive seen of them - they are made VERY cheap & dont stand up to everyday use to well.
