Did a search and didn't really find an answer.

Now that I have to paint my fiberglass deck, is there something better than EasyPoxy that won't oxidize? Apparently EasyPoxy will oxidize in any color other than semi-gloss or gloss white. Doesn't have to be non-skid as I have mats and the deck is non skid already.

Awlgrip is way beyond my budget.

The deck has never been painted since manufacture in 1973.

If you're set up to spray, any automotive finish will do a good job. The more expensive it is, the more of a gloss & the longer it will tend to last.

The sun is what kills a paint job. If you can keep it out of the sun- it'd last forever.

The more and more Sun resistant a given paint system is, the more it tends to cost.

If you go that route, prime it first. Often times just painting over fiberglass, the new finish will peel or chip off real easily. It is wise to treat that bare fiberglass/gellcoat as it it was bare steel. A good! primer, preferably an epoxy compatible to your topcoat finish will minimize this effect.

Ed.
