Hi all,
I need some help with my deck replacement. I have found a few places of rot and plan on ripping up the deck and replacing as well as check the stringers. I have a few questions?
1. Once I rip up the deck, if I find rot in the stringers do I have to replace the whole thing or is there a way to cut out/grind the rot and then support and glass over it?
2. When all that is done and I am replacing the deck, I do not want to go back with carpet but would like to paint it with a non-skid paint. Is this hard to do? I am a novice and would be doing the work myself.
Do I add paint to the resin or fiberlgass or is there colored fiberlgass? Could I add sand when I lay the resin to get the non-skid?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
