Delivery of new Maxum 2900 SCR

Hello all. Me and my husband are about to take delivery of a new Maxum 2900SCR. This is quite a change from a Crownline 202BR. Has any one had good or bad experiences with the Maxum? Also we are looking into putting on a portable generator. Any suggestion? Thanks!!

Didn't the 2900scr come with a Gen Set. I sure would have thought it would if it is the cruiser. Most that size come standard with a Gen Set. It is the cruiser correct?<br />Does it have shore power? <br />Wondering, Rob

We just took delivery of our 2900 last November. We live in Washington state so we have'nt been out a whole lot. We have the 7.4 Bravo III. Other than a few dealer related issues, the boat seems like it will fit our needs. I don't know what to tell you about your genset. I never really considered it. Like Luv2Boat, we take delivery of our 2900 SCR in a couple of weeks. We plan to use it on the Chesapeake Bay and will be very interesed in sharing experiences with the boat.

The most popular generator by far is the Honda EU2000i. Easy to use, easy to store, and the quietest one on the market.
