Anyone know any tricks to remove small dents from the fencing when you can not access the other side of the fence? I have about 3 little dents about the size of a quarter that are annoying the crap out of me.

I was thinking about trying some 3M wall hangers....the kind that stick really well and seeing if I could use those to pull them out a bit.

Re: Dent Removal

I have done alot of dents in tubes and I do body work on cars on the side and there really is no way to do it without access to both sides, if you are pulling you need to get all your force on the center of the dent, like the screw in a dent puller, and I don't think you can get that sticky stuff to stick with that small of an area.

I would worry that you will end up with a little dent inside a big dent.

I am going to try the method in the video at work though, I have heard of it with dry ice but never tried it.

Was just cleaning out the storage on my Sun Tracker. Didn't seem there were that many screws holding the seats in place. If the dents bothered you that much, seems like a very little trouble

Good Luck

Re: Dent Removal

Didn't someone remove some of these by pushing a deflated bicycle tire tube between the dent and whatever was blocking access and slowly airing it up?

I could see where the temp method might work. Keep us posted.

Re: Dent Removal

Whatever you do DR go slow, I can see this easily getting way worse than 3 tiny dents.

I have enver watched the guy at work do it but he can get out small dents, he uses a small wood stick like a paint mixer and pushes from the back of the panel to the front and he has something on the front also like a block but like I said, there really isn'y anyway to do it without access to the back.

The inner tube will push the same everywhere it is, not just on the dent so I could see that making a huge dent with a small dent in the middle.

My best advice would be to get selective blindness and just leave them be.

Re: Dent Removal

Using anything sticky makes me a bit nervous as I would be worried about removing paint too. I guess if they bug me, I could always contact a dent repair guy. They are generally not cheap, but also not too expensive.
