Took my carburator apart to clean it, found some sort of deposits inside float bowl and other spots. Color is white and grey. The deposits scrape off fairly easily, but since I can't scrape everywhere (inside passages, for instance), I'd like to use some sort of solvent to get rid of them.

I've tried the following solvents (basically everything in my garage):

Gumout carb and choke cleaner
Kroil
WD-40
Acetone
Laquer thinner
acetone
Mineral spirits

None of these seem to do anything.

Suggestions?

Russ
