Depth Finder mounting?

I just bought my first boat, 2011 Misty Harbor 2285CS w/ Mercury 115, Four Stroke. My question is can I mount a depth finder on the vertical bracket weld on the back of the right pontoon? Also I need which brand and model you think would work best?

For depth and water temp/fish a Hummingbird Piranha. Cheap price ,small and easy mount.

As far as what finder well that's from 100 to 4000 really depends on what your going to use it for a 100.00 one works just fine
