I have a Dixie Boat Works fiberglass 13' tri-hull with a 25hp Johnson and a Minn-Kota TM. I'm looking for just a depth finder and water temp indicator. Do they even make these anymore?

If I have to I'll get a fish finder with the above features. I'm retired and on a fixed income so price is very important to me.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

TIA,

Barry

Re: Depth Finder

You can get an entry-level Humminbird fish finder with twater temp for less than $100.

Re: Depth Finder

I was at West Marine today and saw the Humminbird. Also saw a Lowrance and Garmin at low prices. Are they all similar in quality or is there really a preference?

I fish in Tampa Bay in relatively shallow water so dual beam isn't a big thing for me.

Re: Depth Finder

I use a cheap hummingbird in my runabout just as a depth finder. It does the trick, and came with the temp probe. I just keep that coiled up out of sight. I didn't want to drill a hole or route the wire over the side.

You can buy a good, basic, inexpensive depth finder/fish finder/temp gauge for about $100....I ordered my Lowrance X-50ds unit on-line...gives me all the info I need for my use.

What you are asking for is actually more expensive than a fish finder with temp read out.

Re: Depth Finder

I am a Humminbird fan.

Here is a nice inexpensive one PiranhaMAX_143

I have never seen just a "depth finder/water temp" combo.
