Depth Sounder Cutting Out

My depth sounder (Humminbird) continuously cuts out. When in my slip it works and while cruising out the channel to the lake it works. When I get up on plane it stops working, but will come on occassionally flash the depth and then go blank again. Any ideas on how to rectify this problem. I have a thru hull transducer mounted ahead of my twin i/o's.

A very common problem with Humminbirds, DN.<br /><br />The fix is to get a Lowrance or Eagle with a Skimmer transom transducer.<br /><br />Moving to electronics.

I had a recent experience similar to yours, and it was a very slightly corroded battery terminal/connection that was vibrating loose at higher RPM's. The cable would break connection just long enough to cut out the depth finder, and I'd have to re-set it. Might be worth looking at.
