Is there a home-school way to determine the pitch of a prop when it has no markings on it?

I got a prop in a barter swap, the guys stated that 'he's almost sure' its a 17 pitch. What I do know for sure is its a 13.5" 3 blade aluminum.

the typical stamping is not there.

I do have a 15 pitch to compare it to visually, and after positioning them next to each other it was indeterminate to me.

thanks
