Hi folks, the nose of my camshaft has two small grooves where the timing chain cover seals are located. Coolant was leaking out of the weeping hole indicating that the first seal had been compromised. I'm afraid that the leak may be due to the small grooves worn into the camshaft. I want find a speedy sleeve to slide over the nose of the camshaft but cannot find the diameter specification in the manual. I measured it and it looks like 2.22 cm. Does anyone know the precise diameter? Does it need to be that close? It is a 1986 Mercruiser 170, 4 cylander, 3.7 Liter. Thanks
