upon taking apart the fule pum i found the sping to the diaphram broken in two, would that definetly cause motor not start? Im betting it would just double checking
If you have a primer bulb on your fuel line (and use it)there is nothing in your pump to keep from starting the engine, except a complete blockage. The primer fills the carbs, and the engine should run until this fuel is gone.Squeeze the primer again, the carbs again fill, motor runs again.

DHP

Got more info ? ?
Still standing by my original post, the primer bulb acts as a fuel pump.If you have a hole in the diaphram, the missing piece may be blocking something.Or the hole oould be flooding a cylinder.

Maybe can get more info if you tell what motor we are talking about.

DHP
