Did i burn out starter switch

Have an 89 Skeeter bass boat,110 Johnson.Was repairing wire for fish finder and touched screw next to the one i was undoing and got spark then no power at starter switch,trim or fish finder.Did i burn switch or are there any fuses im missing checked others,batts are good seem to have power every where else.Just got everything fixed up on it and running good now i think i screwed up,any help would be appreciated...

You probably blew the engine fuse. Look for a torpedo holder running off the large positive solenoid post where the positive battery cable connects. The fuse is 1/4 X 5/8 AGA 20 amps.

BTW, You should not have anything extra running off the engine wiring except gauges. The harness wiring is not heavy enough for accessories.

you most likely blew the inline 20 amp fuse, near the solenoid, but if you are taking power for the accessories, from the controller, that is wrong. there should be nothing but the motor there. you need a completely different wiring system from battery to run accessories. you may have blown the FF.

Didn't know that.Thats the way it was when i got it,will have to run it to different power source.Will check your suggestions....Thanks John

It was the inline fuse near selonoid,easy fix!!!Thanks for your help guys.Now have to run wire for new power for fish finder....Any suggestions...

run a separate pos & neg wires from battery, put a inline fuse pos wire near battery. 16 or 18 guages is all you need for fishfinder.
