Did I Luck Out Or What ?

I had my boat in the lake last week when the impeller came apart . I didn't realize it until the engine overheated and shut down. I was towed to the dock by a fisherman .The engine s a 1966 Chrysler 50hp model 50661. The only damage that I could find was the compression dropped from about 140 to 130. I have had it in the lake since with no problems. Thank Goodness !

Yup.lucky!! Make sure you get all the pieces of the impeller out.
Some say to change it every year but not many do.Change it at least every 2 years.That way you won't get towed in.J
