Is it safe to use this grease on connections in the engine to keep the pins corrosion free from water and keep the plugs water tight.. ...or if not what type do you use..i see all the electric connectors on my truck have some type of grease on them to prevent corrosion...

also want to use it on the fish finder connections

Just go easy with it. Too much can be a bad thing. Apply only to female end and wipe clean.

i dissagree... apply it to the male end of the connector. If you get to much grease down the female end of the plug you'll hydrolock the connector with grease.

The female end is a socket, the male the plug. Technically the socket plugs into the plug in this case. Wipe a smidge over thel holes in the socket and wipe it clean, that's all you need. Dielectric grease is conductive and therefore in a multiplug application must be used sparingly.

It is conductive? I have always wondered that. Then you would have to apply it sparingly as you said or one could be in trouble.

Dielectric grease is an excellent insulator. Use it if you want to, but at the risk of creating a high resistance connection. Better to use ordinary waterproof grease like the service manuals reccommend.
