Difference Between Merc 500 and 650

Hi.

I just wanted to ask a quick question. What are the main differences between a 1965 Mercury 4 Cylinder 650 and a 1973 Mercury 4 cylinder 500 other than horsepower? I have the 500 and was looking at getting a 650 from 1965 but was wondering if any parts were interchangeable.
