I have a 150 Johnson outboard here. I was looking at some different stuff on it, and noticed that there's a difference between the models in the title. How do I know which one I have. This is a 1995 Johnson 150, model number J150ELEOM and Serial number G 03739268. Thanks in advance.

Re: Difference between SL, JL, and HL models

Vic, I appreciate the information but I think I've caused confusion. I was looking up parts on this motor and the carburetors are listed as either SL, JL, or HL-for the model of the motor. I want to know whether I have an SL, JL, or HL model. I just don't know how to figure that out.

surely it is all in the model number? You don't have any of these options, or a GL, so just a plain old bog standard 150.

The link tells you what the various letters mean. If you don't have any of the features they refer to then it confirms the above.
