Hello, I need a info regarding Suzuki DF70,80 & 90 ATL K9.
My boat is rated at max 75HP and I can`t install stronger outboard because I am not allowed (law restrictions in my country).
I have compared the specifications and it seems that the only difference between this three engines is in map, right?
So is it possible to upgrade the 70HP version to 90HP without any engine modification besides the software upgrade?

Camshafts are different as is the ECM (computer) - no such thing as a "software upgrade". $2500 in parts plus labor.

Another question;

Total weight with 5 passengers, gear, fuel etc. is around 2500lbs (weight of new suzuki outboard included)
Would a Suzuki 90HP be sufficient for my boat?
It`s a 16.4" fiberglass open fisherman.

My old Merc 500 50HP is too weak to push this boat, it can`t plane.

Best regards
