I have a 1983 35HP Johnson..I believe it is a ELCTS version...

Now I have QL77JC4 plugs in it...I went to get new plugs at NAPA and they gave me L77JC4 plugs and said these superceded the others...

is there a different performance wise..I know the Q version is surpressor type..but what would the surpressor type be needed for...

and can I use the L77JC4 without a problem

Actually, the L ***is older than the QL***. The Q stands for an inductive suppressor, not a resistance suppressor. Either one will work, but the Q will give less interference with electronics.

Thank you ...I will just pick up the Q version and keep the regulars in the plug case for emergency plugs...
