difference in 85-87 vs 89 powerhead

hey joe,see my responce and ? in my other post. for everyone else I'll ask, why do i want 93 or newer rods and pistons in my 89-120.I've got the kinks worked out of it and it idles great.for however long i want.i want a project for the summer, build a super strong and reliable 120hp.i dont need a 150.i know from building chevys you gotta start with a good block.but im not familiar with differences of carb mounting or anything else. i just want to build a sweet 120.
