Difference in "L" and "LX" Models

Mercruiser 5.7L and 5.7LX

Ayuh,...

The Meaning has changed over the years,....

It Used to be that the "L"s were 2bbl. carbed,+ the "LX" was a 4bbl. carb...

Nowadays,... It's pretty much a Marketing term with No real meaning...

Not true Bond-O The "X" means its worth $500 eXtra.
