difference in marine oil pan?

I'm building a 350 for checkmate with omc stringer,got all the stainless stuff,marine cam.I'm wanting a chrome,or aluminum oil pan,and wondering what the difference in marine vs auto pan.I read something about bigger qt pan.something about baffeled,not baffeled.regular motor top out at 5,500rpm,may see full throttle for 15-30mins at time,what should i look for,can i use auto chrome pan,or can it be modified.

Ayuh,.... Generally speakin', for yer application, the oil pan should use an attached dip stick,...
So's the oil can be pumped out, insteada drained,...

'n cam yer motor for idle to 4800 rpms at Wot,.... yer ole stringer ain't gonna like a diet of 5500 rpms,....

ok seems like i've heard of the pumping out oil.so 4,800 sounds better.I thought so.I have heard people say 5,500 for better midrange throttle response,but guess 4,800 sounds better since it would be at idle or full throttle.Its just this guy got nice aluminum oil pan,and i want it,didn't know if any mods should be done.thanks.

If the drain system bolts up and the thing fits under the motor and doesn't hit the deck.
The standard has the same capacity and is the same material as the factory stuff.
Different applications had some mods. Older Volvo is a bit different because of the dip stick.

Like Bondo said the stringer isn't made for racing.
