Difference in these two props?

I'm looking at a solas 4blade prop to run on my 3.1L yamaha, just to pull tubes/ski's. Looking at the 23P Amita 4.
There is a Mercury Version, and a Yamaha Version.

Am I incorrect in thinking that Yamaha and Mercury have interchangeable props? I know I have personally ran my old 21P Solas on both a 200 yamaha, and a 175 Mercury..... The reason for this question is: The Mercury version is about 40 bucks cheaper for me (on ebay)

Part Numbers are:

1513-140-23 <Mercury Version
3513-143-23 <Yamaha Version

Appreciate any and all input. I know they are both 15 spline, 14" 23Pitch Propellers

If a manufacturer says it needs a different prop, there would be a reason

You can interchange on some yam and Merc props...but it's all usually to do with the hub insert.

That's what I figure, I imagine it has to do with length of the splines, and would require the Yamaha type thrust washer to make up the space. But, I'll just go with the Manufacturers recommended prop to be safe.
