Anybody know what the difference is between a 128 mb 4X and 128 mb 12X?

The 12X is faster. It is how fast the file will take to the card. 40X is usually a standard that the pro's use to keep up with faster shutter speeds. If you are just taking normal shots either one will work.<br /><br />Bob

Faster must not be better if the price has any reflection on it. Just checking online and Target.com has the 128 4X for $49.99 and the 128 12X for $27.00. Walmart.com has the 128 4X for $28.88. Why you reckon the big differnce on the 4X at Walmart and Target?

Be sure your camera can take advantage of the higher speed, or you'll be wasting the $$$.
