digital ignition or thunderbolt is there a difference?

Hi guys i have a 1999 crownline 225 br with a 5.7 mercruiser now on the flame arrester it says digital ignition and every other mercruiser ive seen says thunderbolt ignition ... is there a difference??!

Can you post a picture of your distributor?
DDIS is very different from EST or TB 4/5

its probably est, but i dont' know unless i can see the cap. Why, whats your question about ignition systems? There is a difference in now EST and TB5 differ in parts, but its an ignition system, they operate the same way.
