Digitial camera/computer question

The big red fat guy came early to me this year and presented me with a new camera and also a question for the "pros". It's a Kodak C340 and with it came the Kodak easy share program(software to do your computer stuff on it). I can download the pictures from the camera to my computer but how do I move pictures to say MSN and use as my display? I figured out how to sent pictures as attachments in emails but stumped to move them to MSN. Any help would be appreciated.

Generally there is an upload screen where it lets you specify the directory on your PC where the pic is. Then when you press enter it will start loading the picture from your hard drive to the internet location, like MSN. Just the reverse of downloading a file via FTP.

Are you looking to 'copy' your pics to a MSN photo gallery?? Sorry, I'm a bit confused by what you mean when you say ..."but how do I move pictures to say MSN and use as my display?" What "display" are you referring to??

If you're talking about copying your pics to MSN's photo gallery (I'm guessing, I don't use MSN), they usually have destructions on doing the upload of your pics to their site. Be mindful of the size of the pictures too. Most sites will automatically resize them for their site if they are too big. You can resize them yourself and then upload them too.

Tks Mark42 for your responce. Need to spend more time on this as I am confused with the whole thing. I will look for upload, download, sideload or anything else  Should have stayed with a regular camera. But techonology, isn't it wonderful  :D

Kodak easyshare software isn't.

Just load them into your pc and put them into a folder.
Use the windows software that you already have.

Picasa is a free program from google that is easy and it organizes and resizes pictures as needed. It has export options and lets you select the shots you want to send.

I normally have a temporay folder that I export pictures to then upload them to the net from there.

Best part is that it is FREE and EASY.

I also use a card reader (built into my computer) and I have used the small USB cardreaders in the past.

Happy Holidays.

I second the thought. If you haven't already, don't even install the Easyshare software. I did and it caused all kinds of software conflicts on my computer. You can plug the camera in with its USB cable and Explorer will read it as another drive and you can just copy files into another folder on your hard drive.

If you mean you want to use photos as your desktop picture, go to Start>Settings>Control Panel>Display>Desktop & browse for the photo you want to use. (Not sure if this is what you mean.)

Thanks Bob_VT, Picasa is awesome and easy to use even for me and it does just what I want. It's from Google so it has to be good as I am a "google man". Been with them since they first started as a search engine. Thanks for the help.
