would like to know if i can replace this myself or<br />should i take it to someone to do for me.<br />- dont know exactly where to look in engine harness, parts manual shows one area, diagram shows another. thanx
The diode is 19 1/2 inches from the red connector on the engine harness, most of the time in the tan wire, some engines had 2 one in the red/white wire. 1988 thru 1991.
We are talking about the alarm blocking diode right? It is just spliced into the tan wire, cut the old one out, splice in new one, in correct direction.
i rechecked all the connections and now i have high readings in one direction and zero in the other.<br />originally couldnt get readings from one on starboard side. <bad connection>.<br />is there a laymans way the clean the sockets on these terminals? thanx
