DIrection of thermostat in AQ125a.......

Putting a thermostat in my AQ125a....it did not have one in it when I got it to compare....


The diagram at the penta store is pretty small.
Looks to me like the end with the coils/spring should seat into the head, while the pointy end goes into that elbow housing that bolts to the tank....does this sound correct?



I searched for a pic of one in the housing, but no luck.

It should only fit one way. I have mine installed the way you described. I don't think it would even seat correctly the other way.

Yes, that is correct. Spring into the head.

Thanks guys. Just wanted to make sure because the boat is in storage about 15 miles from my house...no internet out there for me. I hate parking the boat somewhere other than out front of my house because Im always forgetting a tool or something!!
