I am ready to tackle my impeller change, and have looked in a service manual for specifics on dis-connecting the shift linkage. I see a Brass connector above the lower unit with pins in it. I guess I could drive one of those out, but is there another way? I thought I saw mention of un-connecting it through a port (like my old mercury) but don't see a plug on the lower unit.
Any help would be appreciated, and yes I did a search!
Thanks

Service manual is available at the dealer. Same place to get a wp kit, or just impeller. Yes, you drive out a roll pin at the brass coupling.

If you look at the service manual it is not specific about the linkage. Everything else it is clear aboiut, but pretty straightforward. Was just curious about the pin.
