Disable Mercruiser smartcraft trim error message

I have a 2005 mercruiser 5.0l engine serial number 0W319056 with bravo 3 drives and a digital smartcraft system. Prior to starting up I receive a trim error message on my port side engine gauge. I was told that it was my trim limit sender causing the error message. My trim system is working fine despite receiving the error message. I dont want to have to pull the boat to fix the trim limit sending unit but I would like to know if there was anyway I can make the error message go away without fixing the sending unit.

I figured it out you can disable the external sensors by using the cal 2 setting on the smartcraft.
