Disabling Fast Start On 1988 90hp

How can I tell if my engine has the Fast Start feature and how can I disable it if it does? I need to do Joe Reeves Timing Without Test Wheel.

After the motor is warm the Quick Start is no longer active. If that doesn't work, on the port cylinder bank there should be a two wire temperature sensor. Disonnect it whenre it runs to the power pack.
