removed rotor and repacked bearing. Is it ok to leave the rotor out until spring or should I install it now and why? Any other suggestion for laying up this winter? '03 shorelander trailer.<br />Thanks in advance.

Re: disc brake

I would install it now. The reason is that rotors have to be stacked a certain way (that I forgot how) or they have a tendency to warp (this was told to me by a owner of an auto parts warehouse, so I took his explanation as an informed one). Plus to me it seams like you could control moisture (and the result.... rust) better on the trailer then on a shelf.

Its true about the rotors stacked a certain way. If you do decide to leave it off put the inner hub down flat on a surface off of the ground where it won't get water on it.
