Why does my disc pointer keep breaking? I have recently aquired an older "89" Bass Tracker 17.5 with a Minn Kota (MJK all terain 42 lb. thrust). It seems to operate correctly, sterrs, pulls the boat, but I'm breaking the long fingers on the plastic disc pointer. Its much easier to operate if I know in which which direction the motor is pointed. By the way I'm a newbie, first boat, (old man). Has anyone had a similar problem, am I doing something wrong. This the 3rd pointer disc and I'm on my last one. Bought 4. Perhaps some one could point me in the right direction. Thanks
