I had some issues with water in the oil tank a while ago(massive damage). That is all fixed and I have capped vro2 pump. I need to know if there is a way to stop the low and no oil alams while keeping the overheat alarm functioning. Is it as simple as breaking the signal wire connection at the pump? If so will this allow the temp alarm to still work? I believe they are all wired together at some point before hitting the alarm behind the gauges. Engine is 95 Johnson 90hp j90tleor. Thanks in advance!

I think you can just ground the oil sensor wires and leaves temp sensor working.
I wired a tmp guage sensor to the top of tstat housing that worsk great. Tells actual temp (138) of combined heads. Much more comforting to know where you at instead of just too hot. But an alarm is needed as well so leave it working like you said.

All you have to do is disconnect the wires from the vro and the oil tank on the mtr and you'll be okay. The temp senders are built into the wiring harness.
