Johnson 40 HP 1989 Model J40E1 CEC S/N G02338686<br /><br />There is a hose disconnected from the back of the Air Silencer at the bottom port side.<br /><br />It runs aft and I cannot see what it is connected to.<br /><br />I have not been able to locate this item in the SELOC Manual. (Covers All 1 1/4 HP, 1 and 2 Cylinder, 2-Stroke Models from 1971-89)<br /><br />What is it for and what would result if left disconnected? <br /><br />I have no idea how long it has been disconnected.<br /><br />Thank You,<br /><br />Gerry Smith
