I want to know if it is possible to disconnect the oil injection and use a mix without replacing the fuel pump as I was told at a marine dealership. It is a 92 40hp Johnson. I have seen other models that had been given suggestions but were in the later 80's. Any good information would be extremely helpfull.

Pretty simple.Mix you fuel 50 to 1 , run the engine until you know that mix has reached the carbs ,twenty minutes ought to do nicely, then just unplug everything. The oil feed will need to be plugged off. Then you are done with that VRO crap.

Thank you for the replies, I was told previously if I disconnected the oil line it would damage the pump so I was a little cautious about trying it. Sounds like it has been done before without problems, Thanks again.
