I believe my VRO system is putting to much oil in the fuel system at idle and mid-range. It runs very rough and smokes a lot at idle. WOT runs great! To test this I want to disconnected it and pre-mix my fuel. My fuel pump does not have wires to it like whats in the top secret file. Do I just take the oil line off of the fuel pump and plug it? Then disconnect the wires to the oil tank? Thanks.

I sure hope someone answers your question because I need almost the same info. I have a 1985 50 hp that all I could find for wiring was the ones coming from the tank itself , one to a ground on the block and one with a flip type of connector inside a rubber sleeve and I removed them and plugged the oil line. I am rehabing an old boat and I haven't tried to start the motor yet but maybe this weekend. I too don't know if this is all we need to do.
