Dismantling 8HP Mariner 1995

Looks like I have found a very active, very helpful forum.

I have a frozen 2cyl 8M 0G1 S 022642 Mariner which I hope to revive. So far:

1. Struggling with puller on the flywheel. No luck so far. Maybe not needed.

2. Undone 6 bolts, power head to strut. Can't break gasket seal.

3. When I get power head separated, cylinders and 'head' is a single casting. Any suggestions to free up pistons (plan 'A' is to split crank case and knock cylinder block off pistons/crank assy).
