Is there any difference between a Mercruiser marine dist cap and rotor as opposed to a replacement part I would get at autozone, other than price?

I am looking into getting a cap and rotor for my '88 5.7 Mercruiser and was curious as to where I need to shop, boat shop or autozone.

Thanks for any help.

I have never found a difference. I get mine (Accell cap) at Pep-Boys.

Anyone have any part numbers that I can use for the '88 5.7 Mercruiser (carb)?

I would be more inclined to trust NAPA. If you make sure and tell them it is for a boat engine they will go out of their way to make sure it is "marine approved".
It just seems their salesfolk are more knowledgeable and responsible.
I was told that they bought out Sierra - who builds marine engine parts - so they should have a good selection.
