Unfortunetly Prestolite is out of business. That would be a boneyard item. I have the same engine and have often wondered if the 4.3 distributor would work.
Vatter I have looked there and fail to see anything for a Chevy V-6. Maybe I overlooked it. I did however email them regarding an upgrade, and they said none were available. Maybe someone knows more.
I have a dealer looking into procuring one now. I've checked the Pertronix site and found nothing. The idea of a 4.3 part fitting in might be worth a try if all else fails. The main reason for needing a new distributor is that mine has some side play in the shaft which makes the points jump around at high rpms. I might also have to look into getting a new bearing made to replace the old one if I can't come up with anything else.<br />Thanks for the replies.
